Principal's Update
The first four weeks of school have been wonderfully successful! The students are beautifully focused on learning, and our PTO has been most active in planning special events that will assist the school and its stake holders to come together as a family absolutely committed to increased student achievement.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house as our students celebrated their independence on Aug. 25th as they waved their little flags in preparation for entry into this great adventure called "school." PTO was there on the first day, on both open house nights, at Dairy Queen Night, and at our first fall fundraiser. They are busy planning for the Scholastic Book Fair, for Grandparents" Day and for Safety Night. We are also eagerly anticipating our "Reading and Writing Night," which will be rescheduled to the town hall meeting scheduled for October 2nd at Monarch High School. This will be a time to meet with Superintendent Notter and school board members to learn more about the District's initiatives and challenges.
Our beginning has been great, and we look forward to even greater successes. Riverside Rocks!
